Movie Review: Captain America: The First Avenger

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING BLOG POST INCLUDES EXCESSIVE USAGE OF THE SHIFT KEY.

Captain America was, like most Marvel films, pretty great. The beginning was a little slow, but hey, you can't expect every movie to throw you right into the action. Steve Rogers starts out a wimpy little kid with a heart of gold, as most superheroes do, who, instead of growing up LIFTING WEIGHTS and WORKING OUT to become a MANLY MAN, is injected with STEROIDS turning him from a scrawny little toothpick into HOLY CRAP WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU WHY ARE YOU SO RIPPED.
After Stevey's transformation sequence he decides to go on a tour around the States with a bunch of showgirls. Then after MANNING THE HELL UP he joins the army, kills nazis, and punches Mr. Red Face McGee into a swirling vortex of death. One thing I didn't get is that toward the beginning of the film, Mr. Rogers says he never wants to kill anyone, but then by the end of the film he's taking out nazis left and right. Seems kinda hypocritical if you ask me. Oh, also Tommy Lee Jones makes a pretty good Army Colonel. Overall, I give Captain America an 8/10.

Movie Review: Strangers on a Train

Alfred Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train" was a pretty good movie. Old, but still pretty good. Not to be confused with Snakes on a Plane, or Snakes on a Train for that matter (which I didn't know existed until today) Strangers on a Train was a movie made in the 1950s. 1951 even. It's about a man named Guy who gets on a Train and meets a crazy guy. The crazy guy then proceeds to killing Guy's wife and desires Guy to kill his father in return. Sounds weird, I know.

Anyway, for a black and white movie it was actually preeetty dern decent. If you're into murder mysteries that is. If you're not, well... then you probably shouldn't watch it. The movie had it's slow parts, like a 10 minute period toward the end of the film dedicated entirely to tennis and idle chit-chat, but it also had its good moments, full of suspicion and suspense. Overall, I'd give Strangers on a Train a 6.5/10.

It's past 3AM

I'm tired.... Wouldn't it be great if we could just not sleep? And everything would be perfectly okay? We would save so much time. And get so much more done.... Although sleep is pretty great... You should be able to sleep while doing other things. That would be great.... Yeah... sleepy....

3DS Ambassador Program

As I'm sure many of you know, the 3DS ambassador program started up a couple days ago. Now anyone who owns a launch 3DS has access to 10 free NES titles, and will have access to more free games in the future. Only thing is, most of the NES titles suck. Mario and Zelda are fun to play, and some others like Balloon Fight are okay, but the rest are playable for maybe 5, 10 minutes tops, then I get bored of them. I do have a pretty short attention-span, which may add to that, but still. Most these games have not aged well.

Anyway, really looking forward to the titles supposed to be released in the future. Yoshi's Island should be a blast.

Back pain sucks

I totally wrecked my back sometime during the last week. It's terrible. Anyway, enough about me. This guy is a great guy: http://www.youtube.com/dshban
His videos are fantastic. Everyone should watch them. I don't care if you're into LPs or not, Dshban is a great man.

If you are into LP's however, this guy is also pretty great: http://www.youtube.com/sirronlionheart
Or at least, he was. The only video he has uploaded in the last couple months is a random website tutorial where he sounds like a dead zombie, which is kinda weird. His LP's are great though, so check him out sometime. Anyway, that's all I have to say for today. Nathan, out.
